About the Lab
The Personnel Assessment and Decision Sciences (PADS) Lab is an interdisciplinary research group focusing on three main areas of research. First, the lab focuses on applied decision sciences research. Specifically, we investigate how judgment and decision making theories can be used to understand decision making in actual settings, in particular organizations.

Second, the lab focuses on issues related to applicant attraction, recruitment, and selection. We investigate questions related to what attracts recruits to organizations, and what about organizations attract recruit. We also investigate how to identify and select the best applicant for a position.

Finally, the lab conducts research on understanding and improving current research and quantitative methods, including the measurement of psychological variables.
